This monthly event consists of 2.5 hours of therapeutic yoga practice to facilitate rest and relaxation. Stretching and settling the body with hatha, yin and restorative yoga, mobilisation of the breath with pranayama practice and a focus on the mind and meditation through the practice of yoga nidra. All followed by snacks and refreshment.
Yoga Nidra is a potent meditative practice more commonly known as yogic sleep, or conscious deep sleeping. The body is set into a position of comfort, be it lying on the floor, or seated. A guided relaxation then takes the student through the layers of the physical, mental and emotional body.
