Less than an hour from central London (easily accessed by public transport) this one day retreat will take place in a peaceful hall in Remenham, a tiny village on the banks of the river Thames surrounded by fields and woodland.
We will start with a late morning session of flowing yoga (outside in the gardens if it is sunny) designed to build flexibility, stamina and strength, followed by a delicious lunch made from local produce. There will then be the opportunity to take a leisurely walk in the scenic surroundings before a more gentle and restorative yoga class. The day will end with a deep guided relaxation known as yoga nidra.
This one day yoga retreat is open to all whether you regularly come to my yoga classes in London or not. By attending you will improve your physical and mental wellbeing, explore some beautiful countryside, meet friendly like-minded people and enjoy good homemade food.
The cost for the day is £64 (£58 if booked before 1st May) to include two extended yoga practices, a lunch of local produce, drinks and homemade cakes! Please email carolineshawyoga@gmail.com with any questions or if you would like to book a place.

My classes create space and strength in the body and calm and quieten the mind.
We breathe, move and deeply relax.
I started practising yoga whilst struggling to manage the demands of a very busy and stressful job. Thank goodness I did! Yoga has provided me with the tools to far better manage and enjoy my life in this wonderful city.
With a background in dance, drama and gymnastics, I have had a dedicated yoga practise since 2004 and found myself drawn to many different styles of asana – from the very dynamic to the very restorative – over my 13 years of practise. My classes incorporate elements from all these traditions along with pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation.
I was awarded a distinction for my teaching in my training with Yoga Campus at the Life Centre, one of the most rigorous teacher training programmes globally. I also have completed a number of training courses in Yoga Therapy, including a specialised training in spinal and pelvic health.
My teaching is influenced by a number of leading teachers – in particular Doug Keller, Graham Burns, Kate Walker, Louise Grime, Tanya Goodman-Bailey, Ayala Gill, Susanne Lahusen and Tony Watson.
I am based in Primrose Hill, Camden and work at a variety of locations across London and the south.
