Deepen your yoga practice with this 60-hour Foundation Course.
This course is a journey of personal growth and development; giving you tools and techniques to apply to your everyday life and supporting and nourishing your wellbeing.
And if you then feel called to go on to train as a yoga teacher you'll feel confident to take the next step.
Gathering once a month with others who share your love of yoga, you'll immerse yourself in a wide range of topics:
- Asana (yoga postures) and basic anatomy
- Pranayama (breathing practices)
- Relaxation and the stress response
- Meditation techniques
- Yoga philosophy, and how it applies to everyday life
- The history of yoga
- Subtle Anatomy and the energy body, including the chakras
- Mantra and mudra
- Developing your own home yoga practice
The course includes:
- 60 hours contact time
- Handouts and resources on the online Student Portal
- Free access to the Radiance Yoga Online Studio and Meditation Portal
- Access to your tutor for any questions between study days
- A WhatsApp group to stay connected with your yoga study buddies
- Free parking on site
- Tea, coffee and homemade vegan cakes for break times
While there's no assignments, you're encouraged to develop or grow your own home yoga practice.
The course is suitable for those with current or past experience of yoga, so that you're already familiar with the basics (ideally 2 years, or 1 year consistent practice). But... you don't need to be able to stand on your head! Yoga is for every body and all are welcome - yoga helps you to embrace your wonderful uniqueness. And you don't have to think that you're "good at yoga" - simply bring an open mind and a willingness to learn and grow.
COST:
The course costs £660. You may pay in instalments if preferred.
There are additional costs of £42 annual BWY membership, and 3 course books (roughly £30).

With Janice's gentle and inclusive approach, these classes will guide you to build confidence and trust in your body, encouraging you to love the body you're in. And when day to day life has you feeling overwhelmed, stressed or anxious, a class with Janice will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.
Classes are mixed ability, with something for everyone whether you are a complete beginner or more experienced yogi. There's also a Gentle Yoga class on Thursday evenings - yoga with a focus on soothing, nourishing and relaxing - perfect if you want a gentle approach or you're recovering from illness or injury.

Janice also runs the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course, a 60-hour course to deepen your practice and knowledge of yoga. The course runs from March through to November, with monthly study days.
