TowardYoga

Hi! My name is Sarah Toward and I am a fully qualified Iyengar yoga instructor (Level 3). I have been practising yoga for 30 years and teaching it for 17.
I think it’s safe to safe I’m passionate about it and have devoted my time and energy to learning all I can about yoga and how it can have such a profound effect on our mind and body.
I teach all levels, from complete beginners to advanced, including other yoga teachers. My classes are friendly and welcoming, with no judgement and no expectations. With 3 decades of experience to draw on, I can modify poses if someone has a limitation and I skilfully sequence classes to help you get the most out of every single class. No two classes are ever the same, so you won’t ever get bored and your body won’t ‘get used’ to the movement and check out.
I strongly believe yoga can benefit everyone – it just needs to be taught with a deep knowledge, understanding and empathy. I teach people who have various injuries and illnesses including Parkinson’s, cancer, slipped discs, scoliosis, torn ligaments, hip/knee replacements, etc as well as pre & post pregnancy, athletes, children, elderly and people just like you x

Iyengar yoga is a strong practice which builds strength, flexibility and balance in the body whilst in the mind it builds resilience and the ability to tune in to yourself and breathe your way to a calmer self. It continues to challenge me physically and leaves me wanting more.
I have had the joy of training with many of the world’s best teachers, each of whom has contributed to my unique teaching style.
I feel as strong, and move as easily, in my 40's as I did in my 20's.
