Weekend Yoga and Walking Retreat in Yorkshire

Set in the stunning countryside of North Yorkshire, this weekend UK yoga retreat will be held at The Healthy Home, a beautiful stone farmhouse that has been lovingly renovated using low-toxin and low allergy techniques and materials to create a deeply relaxing and restful venue.

Take a Weekend for You

This Yorkshire weekend yoga retreat runs from the evening of Thursday 3 September until Sunday 6 September and will include plenty of yoga alongside home-cooked food and walking in the countryside.

There will be long, in-depth yoga sessions each morning, evening wind-down relaxation orientated sessions and an optional evening meditation. We will be focusing on how to make the best of the upcoming autumn, a time to harvest opportunities and build on them for the future. We’ll be absorbing the beautiful September, and of course making sure you have a really good stretch!

You’ll also have some free time to rest (we’ve added a lie-in into the schedule!), do more walking, explore the area, have a pub lunch and sample the local real ales or visit the pretty market town of Skipton for a wander and Fish and Chips (gluten free available)!

Lucyoga (Dru Yoga)

Recharge your body and mind through flowing sequences, traditional yoga postures and deep relaxation. This beautiful form of slow yoga is suitable for all abilities and is ideal for beginners.

My classes are fun and friendly. They have full instruction throughout and are open to all body shapes, sizes and genders.

I teach Dru Yoga which is a slow, flowing style of Hatha Yoga, which is influenced by Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Pilates, Isolated Active Stretching and other holistic techniques. These keep the body and mind healthy and strong, to build resilience inside and out.

The classes are subsidised for members of Keighley and Craven Athletics club but are also open to the general public and will be inclusive for all body types and levels of fitness.

What is Dru Yoga?
Dru Yoga is a beautiful flowing form of yoga that will help you to unwind and stretch out your body. It can help revive tired muscles, reduce back pain and combat stress. Dru Yoga gives the mind and body much needed energy, to help you find strength and peace in a busy world.

Who is it suitable for?
The class will be suitable for all body types and levels of fitness. It is suitable for beginners as Lucy teaches a fully instructed session that doesn’t require any prior knowledge of yoga. For those with more yoga experience, this is a chance to try a new style of yoga, one that focuses on your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
