New too yoga? - All abilities welcome! This is a weekend aimed at the guest looking for a balance of soul soothing practice, good food, and time to enjoy life's finest things on offer. The practice of yoga will be rewarding yet equally balanced allowing you time to enjoy the hotel facilities and award winning spa, or breathtaking walks beckon.

From the moment you arrive on Friday afternoon you will be looked after. Join Claire for your welcome reception with a glass of bubbly. Kick off your shoes, unravel your yoga mat and return for a gentle evening 1-hour stretch before dinner. Yoga on Saturday will be a 3 hour session in the morning focusing on traditional Hatha yoga sequences and classic yoga postures. Sunday morning 2 hour session is a restorative Yin class including bolsters to support your body as you unravel from the inside-out. More time to breathe, relax and feel.

Claire is an experienced yoga teacher, trained with the Devon school of yoga. Claire's style is is a gentle Hatha Vinyasa flow. All yoga includes elements of Qi Gong" a Chinese moving mediation and the foundation of Tai Chi, combined with yoga this creates a unique style linking classical yoga asana, with movement and breath.

Yoga is a fantastic all-round exercise and a great stretch, but its also an ancient practice that works on the body and the mind creating flexibility and unity from the inside out.

The style of yoga I teach is a holistic Hatha based practice incorporating Qi Gong as taught during my 500-hour advanced teacher training course. Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese system of flow and moving meditation and adds a "Chi" element to traditional Indian yoga postures. The purpose is to seamlessly connect one posture to the next, so the student does not feel stuck or uncomfortable, particularly if new to yoga. The flowing sequence creates a wonderful feeling of wellbeing when we move and flow in time with the breath.
