Yoga for stress, anxiety & depression - 8 week course

The Yoga Therapy for the Mind 8 Week Course was developed by Heather Mason of The Minded Institute as a therapeutic treatment for depression, anxiety, and stress.
The course combines asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breath-work), and restorative mindfulness and meditation practices, which allow students to deeply understand how these practices can work for them in the short term to provide immediate relief and in the long term to create and maintain positive mental health. The course is great for those looking to manage day to day levels of stress as well as those suffering from more severe mental health conditions. The course cost includes a comprehensive manual and CD of practices.

The yoga practice is specifically designed to rebalance the nervous system and to teach you how to regulate mood and emotions. You’ll be taught which postures are useful for energising and which are useful for bringing calm to your system. The course explores a new theme each week enabling you to explore your yoga practice through different perspectives.

Experience Yoga

I am passionate about the benefits that Yoga can bring to everyone.

I have been practising Yoga for over 12 years and am a 500-hour trained Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist, qualified with the Minded Institute, as well as a trained Sivananda Yoga teacher. I teach regular weekly classes; work-based classes; 1-2-1 sessions and the Minded Institute's 8 week course for stress, anxiety and depression. I also offer personalised yoga therapy for mental health.

The Minded Institute is a leader in the development and implementation of yoga therapy and mindfulness practices for mental health. After completing my training in 2014, I am now a supervisor on the current 500-hour training.

I am also currently studying for an MA in Yoga & Meditation Traditions at SOAS University of London.

I see myself as an eternal student, always seeking to deepen my understanding of Yoga and bring that learning to my teaching.

I look forward to meeting you at a class soon and sharing my experience of Yoga.
