This course is for anyone with backache (whether lower or upper) or who wants a gentle therapeutic course of yoga.
Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs is the top complementary therapy for low back pain according to Arthritis Research UK. This course is evidence based. The University of York trial found a 30% improvement in back function over normal care and 8.5 fewer days off work per year.
Yoga teaches correct posture and self care. Based on the latest available published medical evidence, endorsed by Arthritis Research UK and the top two yoga schools in the UK, these classes provide a gently progressive series of exercises to relieve pain and strengthen the body. Colour handouts are provided for home practice.
n total this is a 12 lesson course. It is not essential to go to all of them to get a benefit, (though regular practice is best, including home practice).

I have been teaching in Cornwall since 2006, and opened my own private studio in 2009.
I started regular yoga classes with Linda Morley, (BWY DCT and regional officer), who has been my main guiding light. I have practised with other BWY teachers too and have attended many courses and workshops for other styles of yoga including Ashtanga, DRU, Sivananda and Scaravelli inspired. This wealth of experience is reflected in my teaching practice.
