I began my Yoga journey nearly twenty years ago. I was taught by Alison Brooks for several years before studying Acting at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where my dance teacher Ed Clarke (the founder of Tripsichore Yoga Theatre Company) was an early inspiration.
Yoga proved to be an ideal antidote for the stresses and strains of the acting life. In time I chose to train as a yoga teacher with the Chekira Wholistic Trust under Brenda Brown, herself a pupil of the late Wilfred Clark (founder of the British Wheel of Yoga and later FRYOG). Brenda has now retired, after a career spanning three decades. Throughout my career I have attended workshops with many inspiring teachers including; Peter Blackaby, Swami Saradananda, Julie Friederberger, Sabine Blackaby-Schmidt, Bill Woods, Sophe Hoare, Alison Brooks, Judith Richards. In recent years I have specialised in Chair-based Yoga for the elderly and the disabled. I am accredited by "Yoga Alliance Professionals” as a “Senior Yoga Teacher”.
