Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic style of yoga where movement is synchronised with breath. This style of yoga has an energising flow as the postures are linked together by Vinyasa, or sun salutes. Vinyasa Flow Yoga is derived from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. In Ashtanga the teacher follows a set sequence of postures , called the primary series , but in Vinyasa Flow there is a lot more freedom for the teacher to interpret & tailor a class by adding their own personality & flare . This creates a lot of variety in the practise, which is why Vinyasa Flow is one of the most popular styles of yoga in the world.

Hi I'm Dee and I teach Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga yoga in St Albans. My classes are fun yet challenging, dynamic yet revitalising. They are accessible to all and I teach with a friendly warm manner which is non competitive and allows people to work within their limits- whatever these may be. My style of yoga has an energising flow, and I put great emphasis on synchronising movement with breath. I teach my students to allow the breath to be their guide, and to accept each moment as their bodies being exactly where they should be.
