Therapeutic Yoga

Research has proven there is a clear and direct link between body and mind, however for those experiencing a particular health concern it is common for interventions to focus on just the body or the mind through talking therapy or physiotherapy for example.

Yoga Therapy is a multi-dimensional, mind-body approach to healing. It addresses physical, psychological and emotional imbalances that occur as a result of various physical and /or mental health conditions.

A tailored yoga therapy programme is created by aligning the unique and precise health needs of the individual, with evidence-based yogic practices, which both yoga and medical science have found to have a positive effect.

Sessions may include: breathing techniques, postures, meditation, deep rest relaxation techniques, restorative yoga and lifestyle advice.

Living Yoga - with Rhyanne Hall

I am Rhyanne, a Yoga teacher and Yoga Therapist in Epping, Essex.
I have been teaching yoga since 2013 and began my personal yoga journey some years before that. I am grateful to my teachers for sharing their wisdom and understanding of this ancient practise with me. It has provided me with a source of stability and grounding , something I believe that everyone can benefit from. The students that have attended my classes over the years have inspired me to continue growing and learning as a yoga facilitator.
I am a qualified Yoga Therapist, having undertaken 500 hours study with The Minded Institute in London, an international leader in the field of Yoga Therapy. The therapeutic approach blends both yogic and buddhist traditions with medical knowledge, neuroscience and psychology, to support those working with various physical and mental health conditions.
Mindful-Flow is what best describes my teaching method and a style that emerged from long-term personal practise and exploration. I see mindful movement as the art of blending physical yoga postures alongside mindfulness practises in order to cultivate awareness of the body, mind and breath. I hope to offer you insight into yoga as a practise for modern life, beyond asana and making shapes on your mat. Although this is a wonderful place to start !
Healthy alignment is also a key feature of my classes. Students are given the room to develop alignment in a way that honours the uniqueness of their body rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach.
Expect heartfelt teachings rooted in yogic philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, nidra and other deep relaxation practises.
I hope to meet you one day on the mat.
