Seasonal Yoga with Sandra

Me and My Yoga Mat

Over the years I have fortunate to have met some truly wonderful yoga teachers, whose practice and words of wisdom unlocked something within. My first yoga practice was like coming home, knowing this is where I belonged, where I could connect with me. A safe space, just me and my mat, a time I could leave the outside world and go within.

An instant strong love of yoga began and has been my passion, my compassionate companion for over three decades.

For me, now I always begin my practice by connecting to the breath. taking a moment to check in with self. This allows stillness within, that connection of mind and body before I flow into a yoga posture. Every time I practice I love the stillness, the connection, the soothing ebb and flow of my ujjayi breath. Just me , the breath and my mat, that unconditional love of my changing body, one side more flexible than the other.

Yoga has no expectations, just acceptance of your body and mind, no matter where you are in life, what chaos is unfolding , yoga offers oneness, a retreat with in self and the breath settling me in the present moment. Life is a journey and we all need support as we travel our path, yoga helps me stay grounded, present and promotes acceptance of the constant changes. It fills me with blissful peacefulness.
If I haven’t practiced for a few days or weeks, I so miss the loving embrace of yoga, just being present, just me and my mat.
