Restorative Yoga is a form of active therapeutic relaxation using props and blankets to modify traditional yoga poses and decrease tension. The prolonged holding of a posture pushes the limits of our mind as we experience its resistance through chatty behavior or judgmental nature. The student accepts the present state of the body and mind, and uses breath to relax and come into a state of restful consciousness. Soft music and soothing oils are used in this class.
