Yoga has developed in many and various ways worldwide over the past 1,500 years. Practised carefully and consistently over time with the guidance of a good teacher, I know from my own experience that it can help significantly to promote physical health and flexibility; mental clarity and peace of mind. I practise Yoga because it works! I teach Yoga to share this invaluable ancient system with others.
Classes are accessible to all, focused on the integration of breath and movement, in the hatha yoga tradition of T Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar. This is often known as Viniyoga: the special application of Yoga techniques as appropriate to the student.
Together with teaching groups, I also work with the therapeutic application of Yoga to support individual Yoga practice.
I am a teacher member of the Association of Yoga Studies, accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists with comprehensive insurance and a current qualification in First Aid.
