Suitable for babies after their 6/8 week GP check to pre-walkers.
Baby yoga is a combination of soft stretching for baby, inspired by traditional Hatha yoga poses to help support the development of babies and to aid relaxation whilst giving parents an opportunity to strengthen their bond with their baby. It also helps baby to further their body awareness and self-esteem, while both baby and parent benefit from eye contact, relaxation, bonding, love and trust.
During the 4 week course parents will learn baby yoga stretches, baby holds, swings, dips and holds to stimulate baby's senses and aid development. Parents will all learn breathing techniques to aid relaxation with baby. The course is based on the importance of skin contact and touch, and the classes start with a brief baby (dry) massage.

I am a Blossom and Berry qualified Baby Massage and Yoga Instructor (accredited by Royal College of Midwives, Federation of Holistic Therapists, International, Complementary Therapists Association), with over 10 years experience working with children under 5 years. I am also a qualified parenting practitioner with a BA in Community Education with Community Studies.
I volunteer in my local community and hospital as a Breastfeeding Peer Supporter and for a local branch of a national baby charity.
As a local mum I tried baby massage and yoga with my son William, and loved the quality time this gave us together - along with relief from colic and the all important improved sleeping pattern.
With my classes I want to offer something for the whole family, that dads, grandparents and other family members can also attend and enjoy. I want it to be a friendly nurturing environment, where there is always time for a slice of homemade cake, a chat and a cup of tea
