Kundalini Yoga in person Tuesday and online Wednesday

Kundalini Yoga is a set of tools to increase our self-awareness and to bring our whole selves back to balance. It includes physical postures and movements (asana), meditation, breathing exercises (pranayam), hand positions (mudra) and chanting (mantra). All levels are welcome and no previous experience is necessary.

Kundalini yoga teaches us the techniques and awareness to stay healthy, promoting physical wellbeing and emotional happiness. Different sets of exercises focus on particular organs or systems of the body building resilience and supporting homeostasis.

In Kundalini Yoga we learn to breathe properly and to control the breath, allowing us to control the mind, which in turn gives us more control over our lives and improves our wellbeing. There are many benefits in mastering the breath.

Each meditation has a specific focus, but all meditation reminds us of the existence of something greater than ourselves, and promotes a sense of oneness and unity. Individual sounds cause the tongue to stimulate points in the mouth triggering a response in the brain and a change in consciousness. Whether in silence or using mantra, meditation is a conscious method of controlling and directing the mind.

Kundalini Yoga in Forest Hill

I have been on the expansive and beautiful Kundalini journey of discovery for 20 years now and never cease to be amazed and delighted by the riches of this practice.
I completed my Level I training with world-renowned yogis Guru Dharam Singh Khalsa and Darryl O’Keefe at i-SKY in the UK and am in the process of completing my Level 2 training. I teach regular classes in London and have taught retreats and workshops in Morocco, Italy and New Zealand.
