Hello!
My name is Ruth and I started Energise Yoga following the completion of my yoga teacher training.
I am registered with Yoga Alliance as a Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga teacher but have also completed further training in Pregnancy Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Meditation.
I studied physiotherapy at the University of Birmingham and have worked as a physiotherapist in the NHS for the past ten years and currently specialise in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
I have practiced yoga from my teenage years, and have always had a love for movement, physical exercise and mindfulness. My interest in movement started from a young age, with ballet dancing and I qualified as a ballet teacher aged eighteen.
My understanding of anatomy allowed my yoga practice to develop further and I realised the importance of maintaining healthy joints during yoga.
This allowed my love of yoga, but in particular for Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga, to flourish!
I love combining my understanding of the human body and anatomy with teaching this fluid, free style of yoga.
I would love to share this style of yoga with you, and look forward to seeing you in class!
My qualifications include:
> Bsc Hons Physiotherapy
> Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga Teacher
> Pregnancy Yoga Teacher
> Restorative Yoga and Meditation Teacher
Do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
All abilities welcome in beginners classes, with no experience needed.
I look forward to meeting you!
Namaste,
Ruth
