Primarily a mysore-style self practice class, this class is open to all levels. It is advisable – though not essential – to have some knowledge of the standing postures. If you are a complete beginner, it is preferable to attend a few evening beginners classes or attend a weekend intensive workshop before coming to the early- morning class. Classes are small, however, and the teacher will be able to work with you on a one-to-one basis whatever your needs or level.
The early-morning classes have a special, quiet and peaceful energy where students practice at their own speed and breath and the teacher works individually with each student. STARTING 5 JANUARY 2010

The Shala is a well-established yoga and Pilates studio with a reputation for inspirational teaching. Housed in a newly refurbished Victorian warehouse in West Norwood, on the Dulwich borders, the centre incorporates three studios, a therapy room and small coffee bar. The centre is a unique, inviting and tranquil sanctuary with an emphasis on personal service. There are over 30 yoga & Pilates classes a week, which include classes for pre and post-natal, kids & teens yoga and mother & baby yoga.
