Emma Isokivi (formerly Taylor) begun practicing yoga in 2007, in Montreal, Canada at a Moksha Yoga centre, then a Sivanada/ Hatha lineage. During 2009 she spent time at the Sivananda Institute in Madurai, Southern India where she followed a strict regime of asana practice, chanting, meditation and philosophy classes. She quickly learnt that the yoga practice was a whole lot more than just moving your body into unusual shapes… learning which still continues to this day. After years of cycling, distance running and rock climbing, touching her toes was never going to come easily to her, so some patience was needed! Emma begun practicing Ashtanga Yoga daily in 2011 and returns annually to KPJAYI in Mysore, Southern India to practice with her teacher Sharath Jois.
Emma currently runs private and public classes around the city of Edinburgh.
