This is a self practice group for people who have been practicing for a while. You need to know at least the sun salutations and standing poses as this is not a taught class. It is an opportunity to practice with other Ashtangis is a lovely yoga space, large enough for 6-8 people.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic style which links the postures to a full, rhythmic breathing. It produces an internal heat and a purifying sweat which detoxifies muscles and organs. The practice is designed to improve circulation, and to develop a light and strong body and a calm mind. The focus is on ujjayi breath (audible breathing) and bandhas (locks) to generate heat and retain energy.

I teach Ashtanga Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga group classes, and individual sessions of yoga and Yoga Therapy. I have been teaching since 2003 and practicing since 1998. Originally from Toronto, via the UK, now in Lausanne Switzerland.
