Mum and baby yoga classes aim to provide continuity so that women can continue to practice safe yoga postnatally while bonding with their baby. The classes use dynamic yoga practices to slowly rebuild the mother's strength after the birth of her baby. Where pregnancy classes focused on opening the body, the post natal classes focus on closing it by working on core strengthening exercises (lower back and abdomen), chest and shoulder opening postures (to help relieve the tightness associated with feeding and carrying babies) and rebuilding strength in your pelvic floor.
The class provides a nurturing space for mums and babies to meet and share. Classes are suitable from anytime and provide a gentle progression for the early post natal period.
There will be coffee/tea and biscuits afterwards.
Classes are £8 and will run in 4 weekly blocks with full payment taken at the start of each block.
