Feedback
In this class you can work at your own pace, and have alternatives to poses to suit your preference.
I suffer from periods of depression and the classes help me more than anything. With the physical postures and meditation at the end of each session, I don't only come away feeling good but I take with me valuable tips that I can use every day.
I would recommend anyone to come and try Dru Yoga with Alison

1/ I came to Yoga as I needed to find some quiet time to destress
2/Enjoy Dru Yoga, haven't done any other type, I like how it makes me feel.
3/ Have found that I sleep better, and have a more relaxed outlook at work, the next day. If i feel I am getting stressed at work, I try and visualise the breathing technique that we use in class.

1. I decided to come to yoga to help strengthen my knee which I injured a few years ago and to strengthen my back.

2. I like how chilled the class is, I like how the exercises are different with every class but work the crucial areas for me.

3.The main benefit is the strengthening of my back which is a huge benefit.

Gentle Yoga

I studied a gentle slow relaxing yoga as there are so many scientific researched benefits of this for overall health. I qualified in 2013, and have been running classes since then. There is so much now to suggest that yogi's are supported to be aware of their own body and use this awareness whilst moving, as there is no perfect posture only a posture that suits each individual.
This is how I work as a teacher and how I was taught.
My work background was predominately in Mental Health and I was drawn to this therapeutic style of Yoga.
We can look after ourselves in so many ways, by really coming into the present through our body and mind. The end of the class with relaxation and meditation is just as important and enhances the yoga allowing it to go further. I am now a mindfulness teacher and make space for this to come through my meditation sessions at the end of the Yoga class.
