This is an ongoing class, incorporating all aspects of yoga, ie pranayama, asana and mindfulness. I make sure there are plenty of modifications to enable you to get the best out of the posture, incorporating the use of yoga blocks, pillows, resistant bands, and small pilates balls.
This is a class for mature people, and for those with back issues (especially lower back). It is also very beneficial for those who just want to 'reset' and find their calm centre.
* If your health professional has suggested a yoga class for anxiety or stress relief, yoga will help with breath control, as well as relaxation.

I believe everyone can do yoga, it's just a matter of accepting our uniqueness and listening to what our body is telling us, and respecting that. We practice with kindness, compassion, and honesty (ahimsa and Satya). We focus on maintaining flexibility and strengthening the body, as well as relaxation. We use the breath to help us in our journey of mindfulness. I have been teaching for over 17 years and I believe yoga is not just for the physical benefits but for mental and emotional well-being too.
I have done postgraduate courses in Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs, Somatics, and Yin Yoga, as well as Functional Yoga. I am also a meditator.
My classes are half termly and I expect you to attend on a regular basis to appreciate the full benefits. The current cost is £51 for 6 weeks.
