Calma Yoga

I first experienced Yoga aged 15 at school, as a sensitive overthinker the immediate peace it gave me seemed nothing short of miraculous. Within just a couple of years it became essential to my life, struggling to maintain equilibrium after the sudden and very traumatic death of my lovely Dad.

24 years later I realised what seemed an impossible dream, I began teaching Yoga. So I’ve been teaching since 2002 and I have continued to try to pass on this sense of calm and equilibrium that Yoga brings, nothing makes me happier than to see my students calm, chilled and comfortable in their bodies.

I have continued to be a student myself and gained lots of qualifications and experience in teaching Yoga. I hold a British Wheel 500 hour Diploma, which is the industry gold standard for teaching. I have a Level 3 Yoga Teacher Certificate with the Register of Exercise Professionals and I am a Yoga Alliance Senior Teacher. Click on the logos below to see more about these.

I think it’s really important that teachers are transparent about their qualifications so click here to read about mine. Always ask your teacher about their qualifications, never be embarrassed to ask about where and with what organisation they trained, the number of hours they spent on their Yoga teacher training is a key question to ask.
